The Bride, Amanda Michelle Grace
Amanda was born in Roanoke, Virginia and grew up on a 300 acre farm in Broadway, Virginia. She attended Broadway High School and graduated in 2006. She recently graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management. Amanda has worked part time jobs in retail stores for the past five years: Circuit City until March 2009, and The Home Depot since August 2009. She has accepted a full time job in Charlottesville, Virginia at SNL Financial, a Charlottesville-based company that does financial reporting.
The Groom, Andrew Justin Harris
Andrew grew up in Mechanicsville, Virginia and attended Atlee High School, graduating in 2004. In 2006, he moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia to pursue an education at James Madison University. He recently graduated in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication and a minor in Computer Information Systems. While living in Harrisonburg, he has worked part time at Circuit City, learned to snowboard, and refined his web development skills. Andrew has also accepted a job offer from SNL Financial and will begin early July. He plans to start a small web development business of his own in the future.
How We Met
Andrew and Amanda met through mutual friends during the summer of 2006 while working together at Circuit City. In the company of their coworkers, they attended cookouts at Andrew's apartment, played volleyball and soccer, went camping, and took trips to Blue Hole. After months of friendship, Andrew and Amanda started dating in October 2006.
